With the acquisition of a license for radio traffic accounting services for the flag of Antigua & Barbuda, the history of DH-INTERCOM began. Since the founding of the company in 1992 by Captain Detlev Hautkappe, DH-INTERCOM continuously extended its operations and has emerged to a well-known full service provider of satellite communication, including hardware and airtime distribution. Today DH-INTERCOM is accredited to offer radio traffic accounting for over 30 countries worldwide.

Furthermore DH-INTERCOM is serving as Point of Service Activation (PSA), taking care of activating and de-/re-activating of radio equipment and is authorized for such in over 100 countries around the globe.

Since 2009, DH-INTERCOM has been authorized as Inmarsat Gold Service Provider for both maritime and landmobile services, being the only Gold Service Provider in Germany.
